Gharara is one of the most traditional Pakistani bridal dresses that
have a long history. It is worn along with the kurti and a dupata. It
looks just like a lehnga but it is basically a wide legged pant and with
special effects at the knee with two legs but unlike Sharara its flare
is too grand that look marvelous and attractive.

If not, then you have missed many things. Unlike the European weddings, the Asian weddings are full of music, songs and dance.
Music
is the most important part of our traditional weddings. There are large
number of shadi songs that are being sung by the friends and relatives
of bride as well as groom throughout different wedding functions such as
mehndi, baraat and walima. Well this is not our religious custom but
people arrange it just for fun.
These shadi
songs are usually popular due to their extraordinary poetry. The shadi
songs are sung along with various musical instruments such as dholki and
shehnai.
Dholki is more common in Pakistan.
It has a melodious music and girls from both sides (bride &B groom)
use dholak (musical instrument like drum) while singing shadi songs at
least a week before wedding. They sing solo songs and movies songs with
dholki.
In addition to the gown, brides often wear a veil and carry a bouquet of flowers, a small heirloom such as a lucky coin, a prayer book, or other token. In Western countries, a bride may wear “something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue”; a bridal purse (or money bag) is also common.
The bride-wain, the wagon in which the bride was driven to her new home, gave its name to the weddings of any poor deserving couple, who drove a "wain" round the village, collecting small sums of money or articles of furniture towards their housekeeping. These were called bidding-weddings, or bid-ales, which were in the nature of "benefit" feasts. So general is still the custom of "bidding-weddings" in Wales, that printers usually keep the form of invitation in type. Sometimes as many as six hundred couples will walk in the bridal procession.
